Kevin Morby & Cowgirl Present: This Is A Magazine

Kevin’s 2022 release, This Is A Photograph, is one of my favorite records. It’s been in constant rotation since the day it came out.

The record studies life, time and mortality through a myriad of lenses. It’s a dynamic, buoyant record on big, heavy themes.

In effort to expand upon this concept, I reached out to Kevin a few weeks ago about producing a photo-book made entirely from images dug up from his archive.

Printed on 24 pages of 55gsm tabloid paper, this magazine is comprised of photos from his time spent both at home and on the road.

The magazine is now available for purchase here. This has been a wonderful project and a reminder of why I started Cowgirl in the first place.
